Your gates are your first line of defence. Often automation enables you to manage them more easily and gives you added control.

Sliding gates offer a number of advantages over swing gates and are generally the more popular choice in mainland Europe. Why ..?

A sliding gate does not need the space that a swing gate requires to open. This leaves the full length of the driveway usable for parking vehicles (useful where space is restricted). A closed sliding gate offers better resistance to being forced than a pair of swing gates and therefore higher security.

Sliding gates will work across an upward sloping driveway where a pair of swing gates would not open inward.

Asset Fencing install a range of sliding gates motors for all applications. From single user domestic gates of 300 kilos to continual use Industrial ‘Sliders’ weighing up to 4 tonnes. Whatever the gate we have the right motor for the job!

For commercial and industrial premises, Asset Fencing provide a range of traffic control bollards and rising arm barriers to suit a variety of applications.

These are fast acting systems, moving from open to closed positions in 3 – 6 seconds, and suitable for busy entrances where an automated gate would be too slow.

Barriers and Bollards are used both stand alone and in conjunction with security gates which are closed out of normal business hours to provide intruder security.

A wide range of access control equipment; Radio Controls, Card Readers, Loop Detectors etc, can be interfaced with these units to suit the requirements of individual entrances

Automated Swing Gate Equipment from Asset Fencing

Electro-Mechanical equipment is generally designed for the domestic user and has a duty cycle which suits family residences and entrances that are not busy throughout the day.

Electro-hydraulic equipment is generally designed for a higher duty cycle and is suitable for busy entrances and prestige gates. Our hydraulic gate operators are fully serviceable and, if properly maintained, will give many years of reliable service.

Post mounted operators (Mechanical or Hydraulic) are fixed to the gate post and a sturdy cross member on the gate. It is important that they are fitted to specific measurements in relation to the gate hinge.Underground operators (Mechanical or Hydraulic) fit below ground level and it is important that the operator driveshaft aligns with the gate hinge.
